This lovely home needed a serious update. The concrete driveway was cracked and heaving, the back deck had more coats of paint than grandma’s kitchen, and the overgrown planting had served its purpose. The intent was to redo the whole property and bring it into the 21st century except the back yard pool area, which was still in great condition. The plan portrayed a curving front yard garden and a new paved driveway with a front walk directing visitors to an arching stone step up to the front door. The side yard had an iron gate hung off two basalt columns and a flagstone walk with thyme leading to a spacious back patio. The raised patio was set among raised stone garden planters which allowed for extra seating when needed. Overall, the installed landscape provided the owners more usability, beauty, and value to their home. Oh yeah, we almost forgot…it was completed on budget as well!
Purposefully placed pops of colour and plants highlight the beautiful curves of the rock walls and walkways surrounding this outdoor in-ground pool and spa-like patio space.
